Waited My Whole Life Lyrics

I don't pick up pennies, I don't knock on wood
Step on the cracks a little more than I should
Lucky it ain't nothin' now I got youI don't cross fingers behind my back
And I don't mind dark cats crossing my path
Silly superstitions don't mean a thingOne way of another
We were meant to be together
I waited my whole life
Just to be with you
I know it sounds crazy, but listen to me baby
I swear that it's true
I've waited my whole life
Just to be with youI like your smile, get lost in your face
The sound of your feet across the floor of my place
Make y'self at home, come settle on inThe way you wake up with your hair all a mess
Driving me crazy girl, I just confess
If there's a fault, I can't find it with youOne way of another
We were meant to be together
I waited my whole life
Just to be with you
I know it sounds crazy, but listen to me baby
I swear that it's true
I've waited my whole life
Just to be with you(Just to be with you)
(Aah)(Just to be with you) One way or another
(Just to be with you) We were meant to be together
(Aah) I waited my whole life just to be with you

Cracker is an American alternative rock band fronted by Camper Van Beethoven singer David Lowery, with guitarist Johnny Hickman. They are best known for their hit songs "Low" and "Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)".

The band's website once noted Cracker as "The only band to ever open for both Grateful Dead and Ramones," a unique distinction which is also indicative of the band's sound and style. Cracker comfortably mixes influences and sounds ranging from classic country music, psychedelia, punk and folk into their brand of "Americana" style rock.

Lowery and Hickman are inalterable constants. The band continues to tour (as a full band, and also as the "Cracker acoustic duo"). Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
